Earth Hour 2009, Try and Give the Earth and its Resources a Break27 Mar

We came across a very interesting topic from nowpublic titled “ Cities join together to turn off lights for Earth Hour, March 28″ , and would like to share it with all:

“March 28, 2009, cities around the world have pledged to take part in Earth Hour, when as much electricity is turned off as possible for one whole hour, to try and give the Earth and its resources a break.

Earth Hour is voluntary, when people shut off power in their homes, offices, public places and commercial spaces from 8:30 to 9:30 pm to raise awareness of how much electricity and light pollution is contributing to global warming and climate change.

Earth Hour started in 2007 in Australia on March 31, when over 2 million people took part.

In 2008, over 50 million people in 370 cities worldwide took part, and the lights were even turned out in Times Square in New York and the Coliseum in Rome.”

Paperlesspublications has pledged to take part in this event.  Lets all do our part and help save our planet.
